The Big Four

Nope, not talking about the game. Come on, good guys like me don't gamble. :) And I couldn't be linking the four singers in the Canto-pop group right?? Well, there are many 'big fours' so to speak, but since we're talking about companies, the most famous Big Four, in the context of huge corporations, are none other than that of the ones in the auditing industry. Although not more than a tenth in size of their oil and gas counterparts, they are as big as they can get and they deserve these spots. Accountants and auditors alike would wish to get in but when they are in the Big Four, they would wish to get out (well, at least that was what I witness from some of my friends), due to overly competitive environment I suppose. Anyway, the Big Four audit firms are:
  1. PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)
  2. Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTT)
  3. Ernst & Young (EY)
  4. KPMG (Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler)
So, do help yourself with the links if you want to check them out! Have fun... :)

The Big Six - Oil and Gas

Some call them Big Oil, others International Oil Companies (collectively) but whatever names you give them, whichever ways you call them, it will have something to do with huge, humongous, colossal, gigantic, enormous, massive and monolithic! The Supermajors, which I refer to as the Big Six, are the six (6) largest non-state-owned energy companies (you can safely omit the word 'energy' since they are also among the largest corporations - top 40 in the Global 2000 list) in the world. Their economies emulate those of countries! They are:
Now that's how the Big Six should be - in giant fonts!! So just in case you want to contact them for any matter at all... Feel free to click on these links... :)
